Johns Creek runs along about 13.5 miles of the Chattahoochee River in northeast Fulton County, bordering Gwinnett and Forsyth. Its communities trace back to crossroads like Ocee, Newtown, Warsaw and Shakerag, and today the city is known for neighborhoods around the Atlanta Athletic Club, Newtown Park and Autrey Mill Nature Preserve. It is about an hour and twenty minutes from our Athens base, and one of the North Fulton cities we serve.
Check Your Address First
Johns Creek has an unusual quirk: the Postal Service does not recognize it as a mailing city, so many homes inside city limits carry Alpharetta, Duluth or Suwanee addresses. The city offers an address lookup to confirm whether a property is inside Johns Creek. We check this before we draw anything, because it decides which office reviews the pool.
Pool Permits in Johns Creek
Inside city limits, pool and spa permits are issued by the Building Division of Community Development at City Hall on Lakefield Drive. Fences and land disturbance also require permits, and the city’s tree preservation requirements apply once a building or land disturbance permit is requested. Properties in the Chattahoochee River Corridor have additional limits on clearing and impervious surface, and the site plan must show the allowable impervious area. We prepare the plans, coordinate each permit and schedule inspections.
Gunite Pools for Johns Creek Homes
A gunite pool is shaped on site, so it can be designed to fit within setbacks and impervious limits while still including a spa, tanning ledge and water features. You will see the full design in a 3D rendering before construction begins.
